The article is entitled “A Macroscopic Strain-Space Model of Anisotropic, Cyclic Plasticity with Hardening.”

The Beam Team welcomes new PhD candidate Peter Caltagirone! A Colorado native, Peter earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering at Mines in 2015. While working toward his PhD, he will also earn an MS in Mechanical Engineering. Peter’s research focus will be in composites manufacturing with the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI).

Congratulations to Beam Team member Senthamilaruvi Moorthy for successfully defending his master’s thesis! Senthamilaruvi’s thesis was entitled “Modeling and Characterization of Mechanical Properties in Laser Powder Bed Fusion Additive Manufactured Inconel 718,” and his research was funded by the ADAPT Center.

Breakthrough research performed by Ashley Bucsek
